Hi all, the fridge on my boat seems to be on the fritz, some days it's working great other days it's completely warm. Anyone have any ideas what to check or is it time to replace

How old is it and what condition is it in?

Ulines, even though they are sold as marine units, typically start rusting when within 1 mile of the boat they're going to be installed on.

If recent, it maybe worth fixing. Start by checking the fan, they are known to fail.

If you have to replace, try to find another brand that will fit in the hole. Unfortunately, if you re talking about the combo ice maker /fridge, the dimensions are odd that nothing will fit. Uline has you by the you know what at $1600 list price. I replace these every three years on t boat I run, best I ve found for two was about $1250 a piece.

While the concept of these is good, the problem is that no matter how low the setting it will freeze drinks put in the door, resulting in cans or bottle popping.

I hate them!!!

The combi unit can be replaced by a NovaKool 4 cubic foot dual voltage. You lose the icemaker tho. Ours made it on the boat before it gave up the icemaker a year later. Replaced that and then it started acting up.

Chucked it.

Found a u line that fit without the ice maker at pc richard clearance center yesterday $700 out the door with a 3 year warranty.

I assume this is fairly small. Have you searched for 'small refrigerators', 'dorm refrigerators', or wine coolers?

If yours is both an AC and DC unit, try turning off the AC circuit to it and try running on DC only. I have seen this problem with other systems. It really does not make sense that it should work that way any better but it seems to. John

it was
an a/c only fridge.
