I currently have my TV set up for working directly into shore cable. I would like to have an antenna so we can watch local channels when we are setting in Lake Boca. Does anyone recommend any antenna or other application. Thanks Gina Marie/Tom

I have heard that Naval antennas are some of the best, but the one on our boat did not function when we purchased the boat. I went over to West Marine and purchased the least expensive one, It works well and I am pleased. Though I would think a better antenna woudl pick up more channels.

We have a dome antenna by ATI. It's directional so it can be annoying when swinging on the hook. An omni-directional would probably be your best bet.

Tom, you're in my area, and we're plenty flat and have good broadcast strength all around. I just went with a 14" omnidirectional that comes with a booster/attenuator, and it works just fine. Easy to hook up, too.

I replaced the oem TV antenna with one called a Triax UFO ... works as well as the original. Hatteras originally put the antenna inside the flybridge storage compartment beneath the helm. It was a big circular unit maybe 2 feet in diameter. The little Triax antenna (10 inch diameter) I mounted on an antenna mast I made up that is 6 feet long with a lay down mount. You can look at the specs for the Triax UFO in the current West Marine catalog page 134.
