silicone exhaust hose

guys, i am looking for either 2 8 inch pieces or one piece about 16 inches that i can cut. 8 5/8 diameter. during the repower the used 8 5/8 for one small section right behind the engine, then reduced it to match the 8 inch in the rest of the boat. does anyone know of a yard or boat builder that may have some pieces laying around? i can buy the whole length of 3 feet but then i will have about 20 inches laying around and i have no other use for it. it is about 500.00 dollars for a 3 foot stick, i hate to spend that and waste half of it. i may have to just go back with regular rubber exhaust hose if i can find it.

How about an 8" x 8" hump hose for $75?

Same seller has 2 listings for a single hose, hopefully he actually has 2 of them.

A few years ago I needed some 10" silicone hose and found a great deal on Ebay.

The hump is for bending. It allows you to have some flex or mis alignment.

I use them as the piece from the exhaust elbow to the ss or fiberglass tube all the time.

i dont see an 8 5/8 hump hose available just 8 then 10

during the repower they must have used whatever stainless pipe they had. i found a piece of wet exhaust rubber hose at a local boat supply shop, it has a piece of tape with 8 1/2 on it, it fit properly now to find t bolt clamps. the 720-8000 that i have dont fit this thick hose and i think the 720-10000 are going to be too big. they had these big galvanized clamps with a 5/8 ? bolt on each side. does anybody make a clamp between the 8000 and the 10000?

Wasn't understanding you needed 8 5/8" ID, assumed you were referring to the OD.
At least 8 5/8 silicone is available so you don't end up having to use a bushing of some sort.

That size is 220mm so you may have better luck from UK or overseas.

well if the e bay add is right i found a 36 inch piece of the trident 8 5/8 hose for 100.00 dollars. i think the 8 inch clamps will fit this hose.

If it's silicone hose you probably need to add 1/2" for the OD.
