Pensacola members - dive boats - Oriskany

I'm planning my trip for the first weekend in June to check out the Oriskany. Is anyone familiar with reputable dive charter vessels in the area?

Some friends and colleagues are planning to go along, I hope that we will have enough to justify a dedicated charter for 5-10 divers, maybe a couple of non-divers for moral/surface support.

Any local knowledge out there?

Yep - MBT Divers is who I'd use for a commercial charter.

There are a lot of "Wannabes" out there. If Gigabite wasn't almost sold (we did sea trials today) I'd say just bring 'em up and we'd do it off her - but she's very likely to not be mine by then.

If you've got a smaller number of people let me know - my 23 Sailfish will get out there quick in good weather and do the job.... I don't run commercial stuff - just a guy with a boat.

A couple of years ago, I dove with Down Under Dive Shop in Gulf Shores, AL. Very good operation and reasonably priced. I suspect they will be making Oriskany runs.

I should know by Monday how many folks are going. This sort of things sounds great in the office and then previous commitments, honey do lists tend to reduce the participant list quite a bit. I'll let you know early next week.
