  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
Does anyone have any feedback on NORMA non-perforated stainless steel hose clamps? 10 packs are sold quite reasonably on Amazon and I have quite a few clamps that could stand to be replaced.

You have to very careful with cheap hose clamps, they say they are stainless but sometimes the screws are not, I see them all the time on surveys I do. John

Dont buy junk on amazon.

I sell the AWAB 316 stainless non percf clamps by the box if you need.

You can also get the AWAB 316 hose clamps, which are better than anything else I've ever seen, on pyacht.com, I think. (they are a local company here in Annapolis and ship all over)

How do you like the dixon heavy duty t-bolt clamps ? Put new 10.6-10.9 in on my exhaust recently $13 ea

Provided they are genuine Norma and are all 316 stainless they are great. The Norma TBolts all 316 stainless are great too.

Have been using those for a few years and find them of good quality. I always coat the inside of all clamps on saltwater apps with boeshield or similar. Hoses are salt traps and coating them adds years to clamp life.

Looking a little deeper, the NORMA hose clamps on Amazon are designated W4 which is 304 stainless vs. W5 which is 316 stainless. I guess it was too good to be true.

I buy my clamps from a hose shop. They CAN have top quality clamps an usually at a fraction of the cost of most other places.

BTW, here is a Dixon T-bolt clamp that's about three years old. It's on my dripless seals. I expedited the annual maintenance on the seals for this thread.

Here is the before.

Below is after wire wheeling the clamp. All corrosion was surface--no pitting. The welds were all as mew. This clamp was last cleaned and checked almost 11 months ago.

Painted on some new corrosion protection and reinstalled.

So, I'd say the Dixon clamps are up to the job.

To the OP:

FWIW I would contact Scott about these. Scott contributes here and supports the forum and takes care of it's members when they need to buy something or need technical advice. I'd always rather deal with a forum member like Scott than some random online retailer.

Then it might be worth mentioning that Sam's also sells clamps.
