  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
34' CONVERTIBLE (1965 - 1969)
We are headed to the Keys and are in need of a fuel delivery service. Any contact info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Marlin Fuel 305 393 3835

Dave, Thanks. I will be calling them tomorrow. Looks like we may be able to cross on Friday. Been ten years, need to get back down there.

I once used McKenzie out of Tavernier they service all the Keys. 305-394-1258
Make sure you are somewhere that allows a truck to come in and doesn't charge you a surcharge. It was a while ago and I don't recall the price being anything special vs Marathon Marina or Panchos, but times change.

I got a lead from THT for J&S fuel and they are by far the best price. 3.55 plus tax is 3.80. Much better than 4.59 plus tax (4.91). I will post after delivery to see if price quoted is what I pay. FYI for those that also use a delivery service.

I should add to make sure the meter is zeroed out before filiing from the truck.I was overcharged by 75 gallons in Marathon!! They put more fuel in the boat than it held!! My arguement fell on deaf ears and I was told that"that is how much went into your boat".

Is it possible to save these important info somewhere within the forum where anyone can search them?

By the way, if you are leaving the country or state, many Florida fuel suppliers will provide a bunkering price, i.e. no sales tax. You do need to sign a form to certify that you are leaving.

Wish I knew that when I was leaving. I bought about 3500 gls in Fl on my way home.

3500! Ouch. We are sitting in Ft Misery stuck in the boat watching the weather. I hope we get there to buy some Keys Diesel.

That's just what we bought in FL. To be fair, I took about 1300 gls in Fernindina Beach, Fl which is right on the FL/GA border.

Dade fuel in Miami put more fuel in our boat than the tanks held. Wasn't completely empty, and didn't completely fill. Owner of dade fuel said that based on amount was within "error margin".

Report it to the State. That ought to wake him up.

Yep, the Port Consolidated dock's will provide the best price in the area as well as a bunkering price. This information may be posted on Active Captain or Salty's page. Most cruisers seem to be aware of it.

J&S delivered on time the correct amount at the correct price. They are going to try and fit me in for a less than 100 gallon fill up for our return trip. I recommend them.
