  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
67' COCKPIT MY (1987 - 1995)
Looking to move a 17' boat / trailer combo from Jersey shore to Fort Lauderdale. Anyone have experience with a good transport contractor or website they would recommend? Not a huge rush. Thanks!

First, the guy I've used retired and haven't sent a boat to South Florida since so I can't help with that. Just so you know a lot of drivers will not tow you're trailer, they want to use theirs so they know what they have.

Give me a minute and I’ll give you a contact number for a very well known transport guy named Frank Mole.

Here you go. Frank is a Facebook friend and moves a lot of smaller boats for lots of people I know. Never heard one negative thing about him.

Thanks - I would rather have it sit on a flatbed and not get hauled on its own single axle trailer. Let’s see what I can work out. I’d just fly up and rent a truck and pull it myself for cheaper.

Try Carlos Jefferson, 727-437-9873 (St Petersburg, FL). Moved a boat for me from South Florida to CT. He was reasonably priced and nice to work with. I'm not sure he will drag on your trailer though. Maybe he has a flatbed, I don't know.
