I realize this doesn't answer your question re Lonseal so it may not really be helpful. For that, I apologize...

But in you search for such products you might consider Amtico. It is used on current Hatts and we used it to do "teak/holly" flooring on our 53 in '07. We have been very pleased with it.

Have you seen the Lonseal product in the flesh? I looked at it when I was planning the galley remodel on BUFFALO GAL. It looked nice from a distance, but close up it definitely looked like the pattern was printed on the vinyl; the edges of the teak & holly strips were fuzzy, not crisp. I elected to go with Amtico instead. Amtico is more expensive and definitely more fussy to install being separate 4' pieces that have to be glued down individually, but the finished look is cleaner. Having said the foregoing, I did the job last year, so it is possible the Lonseal product looks better now. I would just make sure you see it up close and personal before you make your decision.

I have a dock mate that put it in his 40' tollycraft. He loves it. He put in the teak and holly version without the gloss. He had dogs and I went to see it and I was very impressed. It shows no wear from the dogs or anything else. It comes in 6' wide pieces up to 60' in length. I was considering it for my Hatt but I have not decided yet whether or not to purchase mainly because of the cost. I would do the installation myself but still it is expensive. The floor does look real but if you look really hard down on your hands and knees you can find the 6' seams.

I have some large samples of Lonseal and consider it a good alternative for galley and heads. It's probably what I will use. All of my installs will be less than 6' wide so I will have no seams. I agree that its looks great and you cannot tell it from the real thing unless you're on your hands and knees to examine it. The ease of install of the Lonseal sheet IMO puts it way ahead of Amtico, although Amtico does look more like the real deal, even up close.

I used it in my head I am happy looks great 3 seasons no issue getting it wet does not harm

I have also used in the head(s). Love it. As others have stated, no problem with it getting wet and it looks great. I have a couple of access hatches in my master cabin head and used the available trim - that works well and looks fine as well. The folks at Lonseal state that you should only use their adhesive. Not sure why but I did use their two part glue and it was easy to apply and gives you ample time to apply the material. I have real teak and holly in my galley and will attempt to refinish that this year. If the refinishing project doesn't do well I will most likely go with the Lonseal in the galley as well.

Thanks for all of the replies. I agree with some of you folks that the Amtico or real teak and holly looks better, My issue is in the head where the outboard wall (hull side) meets the sole. The transition is sort of a curved slope. The current vinyl flooring runs up the slope until it meets the wallpaper covering the hull side. I don't think any rigid flooring will look right at this transition. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

Used the product for that very reason(curvatures). 4 seasons and very happy with the durability.
Went with the satin vs. gloss product. Not the real Mc coy but you wont get black water stains in it and have to attempt to refinish it either. fwiw

Don't know about the Lonseal but I put the PlasTeak teak and holly in the hall between the engine rooms
and down the steps. Looks great, cleans well and I get alot of compliments on it. Was very easy to install.
Thinking of putting in the forward crews quarters too.
