Hatteras Model
60' MOTOR YACHT (1987 - 1989)
Anybody in or has been in this marina? We’re looking at leasing a slip November-February this year. I see they have 40-55’ slips for sale at 875K and 55-65’ for 900K. Must be a nice place, sheesh. Just looking for local intel.

It is a nice place but nothing around it to go to without wheels. Another spot you may want to check is Twin Dolphin in Bradenton. From there you can walk to so much.

Thank you, I’ll check it out.

I have leased a slip and left my boat there for winter/spring a couple of times. It is a very nice marina.
They have their own service department which is good, if you like golf I believe you get a complementary
Membership while you are there. there are 2 restaurants on site and they have a van that takes you to
St Armands (restaurant and shopping) and will pick you up when done. If you like to walk there are plenty of paths. Also very
Convenient if you have a dog. One of my favorite places to stay.

Considering the months are cooler and pool not being an issue another place to consider is Marina Jacks in Sarasota. Would be worth visiting all 3 prior to make the best choice. All 3 have something to offer.

If one is a single guy under 55, then marinas that have bars and restaurants on the premises are the best. Over 55 and single, then marinas that are surrounded by expensive condominiums are the best.

What about under 40 and looking for a sugar momma?

Go for the ones at the condos at the early bird specials. Good luck.

I toured Riveria Dunes, Long Boat Key Moorings, and Marina Jacks. My budget or lack thereof narrows it down to Riveria Dunes for me, if I was to winter in that area. A fellow club member stayed at LBK and MJ this summer and was unable to get access to any amenities at MJ at any price. He said LBK allowed some use for a sizable fee, but it was limited.

We’re going to go over and check out all three of those marinas in a week or two. There is a hefty fee for the amenities at LBK but the plan is to use the boat more as a weekend condo. We have all those amenities at our permanent residence in Lauderdale so it’s more about a place to keep the boat, getaway, and most importantly enjoy the awesome boating that’s on that side of the state. We were planning on keeping it in Brunswick Georgia but decided it might be more fun to have it on the Gulf side this year. I will say Brunswick Landings looks like a very socially active marina with great amenities. Seems to be highly rated from people who have stayed there before. Thank you for all the suggestions!

I was in Brunswick in early summer, it is a very active club and community. The restaurant area closes up early though.
