Is DIY recharge of R22 on Cruisair units doable ? Also....

It's likely still a tad low on Freon. Should not ice up anywhere. Get educated on these and it will pay off handsomely in the future. I kept a 30 lb jug of r-22 on board and used maybe 1 lb per year amongst 3 systems. Only waited once for an A/C guy. Never again.

I guess your suffering from cephalo-rectal displacement. Go back to where you came or just go away. Maybe your wife can explain. It to you. If not my dog can. He's smarter than you for sure.
Ok now you have a taking dog too....get out that Barbie vid cam and get him to say a few words...Youtube fame awaits you m'man ;-)

Moderator, can you help me out here ? After an initial rough start here, I now try to keep things civil but I am literally "stalked" by this guy on nearly every thread I'm involved in and end up wasting so much time responding to him it's ridiculous.

Mommy help me . They're being mean to me.

Why does anybody respond to this idiot? He is disrespectful and unprofessional and a basic ass. If he posts anything please ignore his questions. Maybe then he will find another forum that he can criticize people in. This is the last time I will open any of his posts. Good luck you pompous #}{~<%#>£

LOL...I knew you'd come up with something like that. No "they" to it...only YOU are the constant, never ending irritant here.

Anyone new to this forum, based on recent conversations, would assume you are talking about Boatsb, but if memory serves from past tirades, I think you are talking about me !

If so, I agree...anyone that thinks what you think about me, PLEASE IGNORE ME..... and let the rest of us continue with interesting civil questions and answers.

I've had private messages like "Welcome to the nut house" and "don't let them get to you..just the way it is here".... some of you intolerant types are greatly limiting the potential of this forum by intimidating others. Stop being such asses yourselves.

Folks, Milacron has taken more than his share of abuse from us. Lighten up on this. If you don't want to answer his questions, fine, but the personal back and forth has to stop. We are making ourselves look ridiculous in front of the whole world, and it's going to discourage other boaters from coming in here. Now please cut it out.

So now the remaining Cruisair issue is the 7,000 BTU compressor for the forward port stateroom. (on that one the fan in the air handler works fine) If I cut it on "cool" at the digital panel and then go check out the compressor in the engine room, what happens is it seems to start up just fine but only runs for 8 seconds and shuts down. Then perhaps 30 seconds later it starts up again, runs 8 seconds and shuts down..ad infinitum if I let it. I moved some of the electronics and capacitor wires back of forth on their terminals in case of microscopic corrosion issues...didn't help.

So what do you think ? Electronics problem, weak capacitor, or more likely just shutting itself down due to low R22 levels to protect the compressor from damage ?

I think you own a $400,000 dollar boat that has systems you do not understand and it is in your(not to mention the boat owners around you) best interest to hire professionals to at least show you the ropes and work through the initial bugs. That said, you probably have a capacitor issue or a r22 issue.

I may be like a moray eel and just not let go but they are referring to you. Please have a nice time somewhere else. Like I said before your as welcome as illegal aliens. Some people may think you add something but the majority knows your just a drain on out society.

I hope it's worth that much...I didn't pay anywhere near that for it. For the third time....yes, I agree...I'd have a professional over here in a NY minute if there was one to be had. In the meantime, I can do what I can do...already got the salon AC situation greatly improved. The 7000 btu unit can wait...it's not critical to be working anyway...but just curious at this point....always curious when something mechanical goes wrong what exactly the problem was.

As an indicator of how insanely idiotic that comment is, go this site http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/ and notice the name Milacron as the main moderator with over 45,000 posts associated with it.

This is because I started that forum in 2000, own it, derive most of my income from it. It is the largest professional manufacturing social media site in the world with nearly a million unique visitors ayear.

Now tell me how I'm a drain on society...or maybe your dog will...

I believe that is a commercial post which violates the rules.

Are you trying to be funny or serious ? What possible "commercial" benefit could there be in mentioning another website that has nothing to do with boating ?

*need some help

i have a*injection*machine*that the main*control*board*failed. i'm having a time trying to find a replacement part either new or used in good condition. the board is a cincininati millicron control board part on the board is 3-533-1004g version a. if anyone know where i may locate this board or has one for sale contact me. thanks maybe i can*trade*a takeout robot for a board. i have a yushin ANll-m-150 with the pendant.

No one that can fix it? There is a man in NC that has fixed many defective boards for local shops.. Often only one or a few cheap components are bad.. Caps,*diodes, etc. Should be someone local to help..

Corvairbob: Don't ask me for references, but there are companies that do repair work on electronic boards. Google is your friend. Good luck.

It's all in the rules. No discussion of home sshop grade machines (there are scads of other forums for that) and topic titles have to be descriptive of what is contained wherein. Now, what has that got to do with being a drain on society ?

On our society. As in Hatteras owners. You have asked more stupid questions that anyone yet would shut down someone doing a similar thing on your almighty site. Or worse yet not meeting your standard for a thread title.

This is a Hatteras Owners Forum and if your so tight a $$ed about rules you should buy a Hatteras or leave.

There's a good chance the compressor is shutting down from low pressure. if the compressor is starting up it's not likely it's a capacitor.

To answer the original question in the threat topic title: "Re: Is DIY recharge of R22 on Cruisair units doable ? Also...."....NO, it is not. Also, no it is not DIY work.
