60 amp fuse holder source

I have a 1984 52c. Has anyone sourced replacement 60 amp fuse holders or just the cap assembly needed at the shore power input plug? Sam's price for just for the cap is $206 !!!!!!

Why would these even be here? I have circuit breakers inside at the electrical panel.

You need fuse or breaker when the panel is more than 8 or 10’ from where the shore power comes into the boat. (ABYC requirement)

Marinco makes breakers installed in a shore power enclosure. Easy to install next to the shore power inlet. Or if you have access from inside you can install a breaker inside the boat, typical with cable masters

FIC Corporation was the manufacturer. Years ago I bought replacements from them when I had my 52, but as stated above use a circuit breaker.

I think you have the wrong manufacturer. It s hubbel if memory serves

For 240 Volt boats a 2 pole will work. no neutral. For 120/240 you need a 3 pole breaker to fit in the 2 space box.

Every boat I ve been on with 120/240-50 always had dual pole breakers for the hots. Not neutral even on boats without isolation transformers

Check with ABYC. You will find a whole lot is different than you think.

Newest requirement is ELCI and its 2 poles for 240 V and 3 poles for 120/240. Im sure safety is job one so look at the new products and upgrade as necessary.

I just started the install of a 2 pole ELCI and an isolation /Buck/boost transformer at 12.5KW ( 50 amp 240 to 120 /240 ) with 2 boost levels and all automated.

Its going into a Victron system with pass through and invert and LiFePo Batteries. Its going to be sweet.

Were adding balmar regulators and second alternators on each engine to charge.

The difference is in the level of imbalance, or leaking amperage, that trips the breaker. In-home GFI and GFCI breakers trip at very low imbalance levels while ELCI breakers trip at much higher imbalance levels. RCD's trip at imbalance levels between GFI and ELCI
