I vr used a Bruce 176 from Cape Cod to the exumas. Terrific anchor....

What kind of windlass do you have that can't handle that? Do you think an original galleymade would do it?

My windlass has been replaced prior to my purchase. I haven't used an OE Galley Maid so I can't direct you either way
