I wish I had the boat this came in. What would this be from? Maybe one of the convertibles in the 40+ range? I can't imagine it would have fit into my boat, even in it's smallest form. Very clever design- hope someone here needs it and snaps it up.

I have one in my 41 courtesy of Mel Tucker. It's from his 43dc. It opens big enough to fill the salon but In its stored low position it's a great coffee table.

I have one in white on my bridge deck. Its the perfect table for out thereIMG_0325.webp

You mean the diving guy, the treasure retrieval guy, or am I thinking of someone else?

I have seen them on early 70's 43 DC's. They are quite useful but they do take up a lot of space.

Came on my boat. Still have it. Heavy well made opens into a full size table. I've seen them in the 100-300 range this guy wants $1400 good luck with that!

Sure burst my bubble I though Mel gave me a $1400 Table until you said that.

Wow that's really tempting- I've got mid-century modern chairs in my salon and have been contemplating a coffee table since I no longer have a dog on board. This table is a lovely specimen, but I just don't think I want to give up the space. I don't like the look of too much furniture on boats, or on land for that matter.

It's also a lot of $. Some of these MCM folks are really proud of their stuff.

Can't see it too well but this is the table raised and opened up. We've had a lot of good times at that table!

These are great tables. They came as an option with my boat from Hatteras in our order from late 1965. I can check the price, but $300 comes to mind.

As a coffee table they are just the right height for propping your feet up. It stays put in rough seas. And it is STRONG! I have probably fallen on ours at least 50 times with no damage. As a dining table we regularly squeeze 10 around ours, although often some are children.

The only problem I have had is that the Formica edges are sharp! I have a great scar below my knee from falling onto it in a rough sea. After that I added rounded varnished wood strips to the outside. Now, while it can still hurt, I don't bleed as much.

Does anyone still remember when we would ask a co-ed if she wanted to to go for a spin in my Castro Convertible?

Fell at least 50 times? I'm not going to go there! haha

Jim- no my dobermans didn't drink coffee but one of them LOVED beer and would seek it out regularly. He had his own stainless bowl just beer back when I lived in the house.
