  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
37' CONVERTIBLE (1977 - 1982)
I've just seen a gorgeous looking 1986 46Ft Post boat named "Tiger" in my marina and it looks really nice. It was listed on Yachtworld for $189K. I've never seen Post boats in this area, even Hatteras is rare.

Its not a hatt but they are nicely finished and pretty fast compared to similar powered hatts of the same size.

Different hull shape and narrow aft so interesting in a following sea but Id not be ashamed to own one.

It was on my short list until I found out that it is a foot wider at the beam and would not fit in the widest slip in my yacht club. Very attractive and reasonably fast boats. In my new yacht club (where they do fit), I have one on either side of me. I've been in the ER of one and it is a little tight (it has 6-71's). Fit and finish is top notch. I believe that quite a few of them had the 485hp 6-71's, which is fairly high HP for that displacement.

Always were a super solid manufacturer, they kept it simple and were always cautious with new materials etc until proven, it's a shame they're now gone. Ran a brand new one, think it was a 42', for 2 summers while in school during the early 80's, only beef was it would beat you up in a head sea, thought it handled fine in a following sea, was pretty fast for a boat during that time period too.
