Thanks to all who taught me what to do. Installation went smoothly today and the cruise demonstrated oil pressure was fine. I used steel "T"s and braided stainless hose from the block and transmission to the companionway wall and flexible 3/16" brake line from there to the gauges. What a great relief to be back in the channel again listening to those DDs.

Next I'm going to set aside a full day to install the mechanical water temp gauges, the block heaters, thermostats and flush and change the hoses and antifreeze.
 
Dave, on my boat I installed the upper gauge in the outboard therm housing and the lower in the inboard housing. This provided an oppertunity to keep tabs on both thermostats.

Getting the capilary tubes from the bridge to the ER is quite the challange, but worth it.
