These filters are for my water maker which I haven't used since I bought Aslan about four years ago. I recall the cartridge canisters were stuck then. I think they'll rip the screws from the bulkhead if I apply any more force. Anyone have any ideas on how to un-stick them?

Robert, do you have one of the filter wrenches tha slide up from the bottom and have grooves on them if not get one then get 2 people one to push with both hands on the 90 fitting on the right and the other to pull on that wrench, they should come off nothing to corrode as they are all plastic. Good luck, John

Thanks, John. I've filter wrenched with two wrenches until they just about break.

Have you tried using a hairdryer heat gun? Plastic will really expand when heated and that might do the trick.

Thanks. Not yet. Wasn’t sure about heat on plastic. I also have a habit of overdoing it.

Silicone spray and light heat. Works good on stuck plastic car parts.

Robert I would venture you are more mechanically inclined than I am but you have turned the pump off and bled the pressure off. I was under my house grunting and cussing with my water filter till I remember that the water was still on. My filter had a button on the top that would bleed the pressure off. Just making sure you are not having a senior moment.

Great point. I’ve done the same at home. Not sure if it would hold pressure for years without use. I tothink the heat will loosen the threads. Good Luck Robert

No pressure. I’ve removed all the lines from them as well. I’ve oiled them up good and will light a fire under them tomorrow. We’ll see what happens.

You take the prize. Took more heat than I thought they'd take and busted loose with one wrench on. Thanks for the fix.

Eh, you're quoting yourself.....:D

Robert’s proud. Good job.
