I decided to pull the trigger on a pair of staple rails for my platform. We're not getting any younger and I am not as agile as I once was. This is an extension of "aging in place" that has been a recent protocol in our 2 residences. I think it will be nice to have a substantial rail to grab in boarding from a floating dock, and a barrier behind me when decending the ladder from the aft deck. I'll admit that I'm not all together thrilled with the "non original" aesthetic of this but I think the safety trade-off is worth it.

While not original to the boat, they don't look out of place to me. They serve an important function and your safety comes first.

I think they look nice!

They do look nice! I'm thinking something along those lines too for our swim step.. How tall are they? More pics?

We spend a lot of time getting in and out of our dingy when we cruise so we also added them. Makes it a lot easier.

I need these.

Please post details on acquisition and installation.

I think the look says classic boat modernized for comfort and convenience and will add curb appeal.

But I need them due to crew aging.

Great job.

They worked with me to get me exactly what I wanted and delivered exactly when they said they would and at a good price. Dianna, the office manager is just a delight to work with. Give them a call and you won't be sorry. They worked Freestyle 1986 62 CPMY (54MY with ext) Tampa
If you are looking to add staples I whole heartedly recommend contacting Tanner Manufacturing for them. The office manager is a delight to work, knows her stuff, is prompt and a solid individual. Tanner delivered a great product when they did they would ar a very good price. About half or so what I was gutted on the FL east coast. They have standard staples and will do custom sizes as well.

If you use large diameter material like 2 inch it was hard to find someone who could bend it at least here on the west coast. Lots of people wanted to weld it. I think they look better bent. Mine were made by Benchmark in San Diego.

Mine came from Tanner. Fixed mount ready made. 7 days from order to delivery to Md. I'm very pleased with the quality.

Looks great. Safety first.

Those look amazing. Pau Hana's swim platform was one of my least favorite places onboard, yet I never thought about these.
