Hatteras Model
46' CONVERTIBLE-Series II (1981 - 1984)
Had a great trip! Ran outside all the way from Lom=ngboat Key, FL to Beaufort NC. Spent three days holed up in N Myrtle Beach waiting on Irene. No issues at all the boat ran flawlessly.

Hi All,

Cap,,,, she is one h$ll of a beautiful boat. I wish you nothing but good luck, enjoyment and smooth sailing.

Appreciate you sharing the photos !!

Awesome boat!

Jack, where are you now. Moved my boat to Beaufort town Docks yesterday. Leaving tomorrow morning for Cape Lookout until Mon. then taking her up to New Bern for the winter as we have lots of weddings and business trips in Sept an Oct. Figure I keep her close to home. Wife is upset that this is the last Cape trip this year. Boy has she taken to getting out on the boat for extended time. Even to the point of having a bigger boat to live on with a condo thrown in for some shore time! Anyway Good luck with the new boat. Sure looks pretty!

Hi All,

Jack, any interior photos !!!

Looks sharp...best of luck

Where are the pictures of the Flemish Cap? That boat could fish there with no problems. <gg>

I was looking at her as a potential liveaboard, but was worried about the very high hours on the engines. I take it that they ran fine, so they must have been well taken care of, and I guess I should not let that scare me in the future.

She is a beauty! Continued good luck with her.

Thanks for all the replies. She is an amazing boat and I am very happy with her. She looks and runs better than I could have hoped for.

When did you look at her, was it before she was listed with Galati? I had her under contract before she was listed but I know there was a lot of interest in her. The engines don't have high hours on them. They were rebuilt in 2005 and had about 1200 hours on them when I bought her. Engine survey estimated the same before we knew when she was majored.

I merely saw the Yachtworld "Byo Diesel" <sp> posting, engines listed with much higher than 1200 hours. I guess that listing must have been in error. Glad she turned out to be a great boat for you!

Jack:

What a gorgeous boat!

Please tell Terry and Lanette hello from Mike and Danny (my son) from Inspiration (53 MY) - we're the ones that weathered the four hurricanes including Floyd the first summer I owned the hurricane magnet... I mean boat!

That marina used to be a great spot for watching the boats migrate south in the winter each year - they had a picnic area there on the peninsula perfect for boat watching on the ICW. Enjoy creating your own memories there!

Mike
