Outback inverter - 50 or 60 hz?

Hi,
I have a 1989 54 MY and am looking to replace the old charger with an Outback combined charger and inverter such as the 3232. I live in Norway and shore power is 230 @ 50 hz. The original Onan gen set (mdl4) operates @ 60 hz, and there is a 230V circuit for european outlets throughout the boat, along with all the 110V ones. Now my questions are;
1. Did Hatteras normally provide a 60 to 50 hz converter so that the correct frequency is given for the 110V and 230V circuits respectively? Or will the 230V circuit run @ 60 hz once the genset is running?
2. Depending on above - would you advise to use a 50 or 60 hz Outback model?

Frequency converters are VERY expensive and afaik never standard equipment except maybe on very large boats likely to visit the med.

I don’t know how your bkatbis set up and don’t want to speculate but remember that US 240v service is two 120v hits on opposing phases whereas euro 240v is a single 240v hot against N Complete different system

Is your boat 50 or 60 hz?

If it's been set up for 50 hz your good with a a 230 volt 50 hz. If the electric motors and other gear like ac and heat is 60 hz you need to stay 60.

Remember it's similar in the voltage but the frequency is off by 20%

It is also possible that your generator can be used to make 50hz power. It may be derated slightly, though.

Much equipment can run at 50 or 60hz these days. Anything electronic almost never matters. I would try to fully get everything working at 50hz and stay with that.

Thanks for your input. A quick follow up if you are interested... all of electrics and electronics in the boat runs equally fine on 50 and 60hz I tested and learned by running on both shore power 230@50 and gen set 110@60. I can find no outback model on 32V that accepts both 50 and 60hz though according to spec, so I'll buy a Victron that will accept both 110/230v and 50/60hz and build myself a inverter bank on 24V, and let the old charger carry on with the orginal bank setup.
