Oil Samples

Can anyone give me another company they have had success in using for oil samples. Genesis gave me Blackstone and I have tried for several weeks to get a kit. First I ordered on the web page for Blackstone sample kit. Waited about a week and called them. Spoke with a lady and was told they just pulled a bunch of orders off the web page but if I would give her my address she would make sure I was sent one. Waited another week and called and spoke with a man. He asked for my zip code and took a few minutes looking it up. I asked him, you can't find it? He asked me to give him my address and he would go by the post office that afternoon and make sure I would get a couple of sample kits. That's been going on two weeks. Any suggestions for someone the forum has used in the past will be appreciated.

Wierd! And not good. I still have some kits for Blackstone left from my last order..... hope this is not a trend with them

Yeah wierd. Blacksone has always done right by me. In fact, they often send me multiply sample kits (like a whole box full once). I too hope this is not a trend as I have 6 samples to send out this week!!

Do either of you have a person you deal with at Blackstone that I could talk to or have you both just talked to whoever answers?

I just talk to whoever answers.... I do have an open account with them and have them send me prepaid sample kits - I pay when they send them, so there's no fee on the actual runs.

These are DD Power Trac guys. Never a problem and I get my report on-line or faxed to me.

I'll contact them and see who's gets here first. I called again today to Blackstone and asked to speak to a supervisor. The lady would not give me to anyone else and said she could help me and wanted to know my problem. I explained it all to her and she really thought it was funny and again took my information down and thanked me for being so persistant as she was snickering. Didn't leave a good taste in my nouth but I really need a test completed.

Just wanted everyone to know, I got home today and there was two sample kits in my mailbox from Blackstone. One postmarked the 20th and the other the 26th. So much for our mail system. Thanks everyone for their replys.

If you have a CAT dealer nearby, just stop in and pick up a kit. Then return it to them and they fax the results. They don't care what kind of engine it is, just note it in the form that comes with it.
