Oil filter Cross Reference--Again

Sorry but I have exhausted all means to find a cross reference mfg for the GM47465 oil filter on my Kohler 20 EOZD. Any help would be appreciated. Fram preferred but any other major mfg of oil filters would be fine. I am trying to avoid the trip to the generator mfg.

Take your old filter off and go up to the auto parts store and try to match it up.

Brian - if you know what a mess it is to get these off, I do not want to go anywhere afterwards. I want the filter on hand just to spin it on. I have spent the better part of two hours trying to cross reference this on the intrernet with no luck.

Does Kohler have a website that could possibly provide this information? Have you tried checking with NAPA?

Kohler does not advertise cross reference filters and the napa cross reference chart doesn't list this oil filter.

They also reference anothre number. Here is what it says:

Kohler Part Number: GM47465. Replaces 252834.

Try that part #252834 with Napa and see if it crosses.

I ran a cross reference online with one of the biggest filter places and it only shows Kohler as the mfg. This is not uncommon. I have a Generac at home and they show no cross from the Generac filter, but I was able to match it up to one at Napa that was for a Brigg and Stratton. This may be the same for you. As was stated, buy a new one from Kohler and then take it to Napa to find something that will work.

I cross referenced the 252834 number with wix filters and got a wix part number of 51334, then cross referenced to napa which gives 3 napa numbers. These numbers are ---21334, 1334, and ps1334. Hope that makes it a little easier for you.---Pete

Sorry, re-read the qriginal question, what you were looking for was a Fram number. There are two , either PH3593A or PH6010A will work.
