  1. OWNER - I own a different brand
Hatteras Model
Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
My boat has an older (circa 1978) Princess model 33 electric stove (120v). Top has 3 coil burners and oven has separate bake and broil elements. The oven heating element doesn't heat and I want to troubleshoot the circuitry. I am not getting any voltage at the heating element leads.

Does anyone have an electrical schematic for this oven model?

Is this the one with 2 switches all the way to the left of the burner knobs? If so the inner switch goes between the oven?broiler and the 3rd burner. That is a good place to start.

Notice I did not ask if the switch was in the down position for the over as that would be unkind.

If you narrow it down to any specific parts that you need, let me know, I have that vintage princess and it is trash due to the casing being rotted away with rust. Everything works all elements and switches,,,,just the door has no hinges,,,so it is only good for parts.

Scott,

Thank you for the suggestion. Thank you also for not being unkind. Yes, this stove does have the switch you mention. The oven element isn't working in either position (broiler does). I've already installed a replacement oven control thermostat switch. Basic circuit tracing is my next move. Hence, my desire to get ahold of a representative schematic. The boat is relatively new to me and I'm not sure how much this may have been tinkered with in the past.

I too have an extra stove-Mine is complete and in usable and presentable condition-but please utilize the previous persons stove first since he posted before me.
Thanks

Princess is still around. They have representation throughout the US. Where are you located?

Since mine is only good for parts and you have a whole one, what would your price be for the whole one in working order. You can PM me if you like.

I have a 1984 Princess 33 o 34 stove. After frustrating several attempts to order a new top burner element from a local dealer who claimed that they would never return calls, I finally called Seaboard directly and was greeted with a most helpful person who indicated that they had recently opened a direct parts line to the factory. I had my part within a few days. You might try them.

I think you're refering to Seaward (based in Calif.). I've been consulting with them on multiple occasions. Apparently this particular model was phased out in the early 80s. I can buy parts from them but first I need to determine what is wrong.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Are you sure the top, when up is seated all the way in? Push down on the hinge. There is a switch in the recess that can get cruded up and if not made, nothing works.
