  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
63' COCKPIT MY (1985 - 1987)
I need to replace the 8Ds in my inverter bank and NAPA has a replacement for a good price, just over $600 (less with discounts). They are the same 1450cca, 245@20ah batteries, but seem to weigh a bit more than the Lifelines and Trojans I found online. Has anyone had any experience with them? Or know who makes them for NAPA?

I will probably give them a try if there is no bad feedback and let the forum know if they are junk......

NAPA 8D batteries are made by Deka.

I know the charter boat captains and crew boats down in Port Fourchon use NAPA batteries a lot. I know several that use their 12 volt 8D's with good luck. I am looking at their 8V's for my port bank. I got a price on Rolls today and it was high as expected but availability is 8 weeks away. Not sure I can wait that long.

I've been using them as my starting batteries (2 per side) for 10 - 12 years. No problems to speak of.

I've been selling the victron 8d AGM for a lot less than the napa or lifelines.

I believe it's the BAT412123081.

PM if your interested.

Correct part number BAT412201080

check their build dates, some will sit around and necessitate a little "juicing"
