Moen Shower Handles

[Freestyle]

The round handles on my Moen showers which appear to be original have all broken and my crew are using pliers to adjust water temperatures.

Does anyone have experience sourcing and replacing these?

Moen used the same guts. Just change them out and buy a more modern handle. The Moen guts are #1200. Easy to do. Check out YouTube.

there are cheaper ones, but I have always liked their stuff.
just teflon tape and a screwdriver needed for these trim replacements.

I bought the exact ones. It really updated the look of the shower. I also buffed the backing plate to a mirror finish.

Buy the moen cartridge extraction tool. It is possible without it, but it can be quite unsettling for a novice to be yanking on lightly mounted piping with perhaps calcification impeding the progress. use plenty of valve grease when installing the new one.
