  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I have a few pinholes in the tubes of my inflatable some are on the seams and very hard to seal. I spoke to the previous owner and he indicated they used to use the liquid Inflatable sealant. They would pour it into each of the tubes and move the boat side to side, up and down, upside down etc. My question is has anybody else done this? If so which sealant did you use? How long did it last? How much sealant did you pour into each tube?

Never heard of it. I used the two part patch kit on mine and its held fine for years.

Ye Ole fix-a-flat for inflatable boats.
Not the most correct way to fix sun burned inflatable leaks but works for a while longer.
Used car (boat) sales special.
What you probably don't want to read;Time for new tubes.

I had an old zodiac that I used the liquid inside. I bought it at west marine. It didnt have any leaks but may have helped. I also repainted it with a product from west to make it look better that performed well. I used it until the transom became unglued, thats when I had to let it go.

I used a liquid and did the left/right/upside-down thing and it lasted for many years. I believe it was just called Inflatable Boat Sealant. I put just enough air in after the sealant to keep the tubes puffy but not tight.
