SInce there is alot of good posts about winterization,

Any suggestions on how to winterize the ice maker?

blow air through lines?

cherry juice?

It seems strange to talk about winterizing and ice machine but it does have to be done.

I would drain all the water I could from the system and blow out the lines with air. Opening the valve with a jumper is necessary. The freezer area does not need the antifreeze in it because ....

Getting the other parts protected is important.

Why not take it home and use it for the off season :)

Is it the oem Uline icemaker that uses FW system water? I run pink through the FW system and observe pink at every faucet/outlet/whatever. The process does the same with the icemaker - after two-three cycles there is pink in that system.

yep just run pink through the system when the unit quits spitting ice cubes and all you have is pink liquid coming out youre done..i used to blow out everything with air but its too much jerkin around just run faucets and everything till pink comes out and thats it. here in my part of minnesota well see temps as low as -30F
