I hope it's a miss, but it looks pretty close. I wish good luck to all. be safe

Hailing Double Eagle and Gina Marie, you guys down in the keys? I hope your ready.

Pascal, are you staying in the slip?

if anyone needs a hand, I'm a short drive away.

Mario

I would be secured and ready if I was anywhere in the Keys.

I think this thing is going to come roaring in there, and may well hit Key West square.

What's worse is where I believe it may go next. We won't go there right now......

man, I hear ya. I got the same creepy feeling.

lets hope were wrong.

Thanks for the concern, the Gina Marie is in Lighthouse Point safe and sound. Took her up last Tuesday.

thanks for the concern....
we have very high poles and large fenders
4 lines aft and 4 forward...double spring lines...
if it comes across from the east it will push against the poles
we have never had more than 4-5 ft surge ...more than that will go on thru the 7 mike bridge...we are the highest pt on our block also...
so ....
stay tuned....thanks for the thoughts

double eagle .....marathon    :)

yeah i'm staing in.. no big deal. it's alittle hard to keep the boat off the pilings as the slip is too narrow... have to keep some slack for high tide. one is too low to and i got some slight rub rail damage as it caught the top of the piling. just a few bent screws...

Pascal: are you on the boat now? Still doing alright?

Looks like the keys dodged a bullet again. I hope everyone's ok.

:D :D :) :) MARATHON UPDATE

just the usual beach erosion..
piers on the ocean side damaged...some on the gulf side
tidal surge was only 2 ft or so
came up to 6 inches from bottom step on the breakwall
no damage on the boats...wheeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww
less than 2 inches of rain..
hopw everyone else os ok
double eagle

Glad everyone in the keys survived with no damage to boats. It looks like it is our turn in Texas. Rita is calculated to hit west of Galveston which puts Beaumont on the surge side. Am planning on moving Doc's Holiday east to Lake Charles or possibly Houma, La but not sure if any fuel or slips available
around the Houma area. Anyone have any suggestions?
