Hatteras Model
52' COCKPIT MY (1990 - 1999)
Any of you experts know what model Cat pump this is?
I contacted SeaRecovery and they want 240 for O-Rings, and 570 for valve o-ring kit.
I heard of some markups but that is crazy. Pretty sure I can just get a new pump for around 1500.00

Of course it's been re-branded by SeaRecovery so I can not find the Cat Model number.
It's from the 1991 era (i think) the membranes had dates of sept 1991 on them

I'd give them a call. Try to get the HP and RPM of the motor that drives it, or other info. I'd also put down the coffee and try a few more pix so you can send them to someone there.

I didn't see an outright match but someone over there at CAT should be able to put a number on it.

Edit: HOLD THE PHONE, it looks like a Nickle Aluminum Bronze unit which might make sense for salt.

Give 'em a shout for confirmation, maybe they can walk you through a few things that will confirm it.

yep, that's the pump. 237/247 0r the 277. they use the same seal kit.
Pump finally quit making high pressure new years day :)
Don't think it's ever been serviced since 1991 since it's been installed.
Pulled the entire unit out. talk about a motor. motor dated 1991. must weigh close to 150lbs.
2hp 50hz 1400+ rpm
Having it serviced, new bearings etc. I doubt a squirt of grease was ever applied to the 2 grease fittings

So, i called Sea Recovery to get seal kit. These guys must be crazy. 700.00 bucks for seal kit!!
Found the kits online at a pressure washer repair outfit for 260.00. I've heard of boat buck markups but that's just plain outrageous
700 buck for seal kit!, i can buy the same pump for 900.00 bucks brand new!
I guess due to it having all the cat stickers / model numbers / serial numbers stripped off and relabeled / re-branded as Sea Recovery they can or try to bend ya over. Heck, it's a pressure washer pump
Oh well, end of rant.

Folks at Cat pumps are great. Sent them the measurements of the plungers etc and they emailed me within 10 mins letting me know pump model, what kit numbers to order etc.
