I looking at having a high / low coffee table / dining table custom made. I cannot find the center post hydraulic mechanism on-line. Any of you know where I can find one? This would be mid to late 80's vintage table with the leaves that fold in to form the coffee table size.. Any help finding this furniture part would be much appreciated.

I bought one on line years ago, can’t remember the name of the company, but it was in Canada. Try hi/low mechanisms in Canada. Sorry I know this is not much help

I have an older original Hatteras style Hi-Lo table with expanding leafs. It is 5’ long by 21” with the leafs down. With leafs up it is 40”. Low position is 17 1/2” high and up
Position is 29 1/4” high. Has a few chips in veneer that need repair. Tom Slane. 336-471-2907

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the comment. I tried calling your number but it cut off after ringing.

I'm in Kenora, Canada, northwest of Duluth, Minnesota by about 4 hours, so if you are looking at selling your table (not sure what you were suggesting) It would likely be prohibitive to ship (not sure where you are located). Im actually looking for a mechanism to have a friend custom build a table. He is a retired fellow who's hobby is making custom hardwood furniture of unique designs. much of the mechanisms on the internet are like a raised desk type and I was looking for the centre post gas cylinder type that I have on my boat. So far no luck at finding it but Im sure i will find the mechanism if I keep looking.

Cheers,

mark
