Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
We had the misfortune of hitting a deadhead log on the lower Waccamaw River in SC on New Year's Eve afternoon. We were below the juncture with the Great Pee Dee River that has seen extreme flooding in the last few weeks. Tons of debris in the water. Bad vibration on the stbd side after collision. Reid and Sam at Hazzard Marine pulled us this morning to find "only" one badly bent blade. Pulled both props, checked for damage/misalignment, installed my spare props and changed out a pair of rudder zincs in an hour. Back in the water by 10AM. Very pleased with the professional work and reasonable price.

Sorry to hear the news. We made our way North to myrtle Beach and saw a telephone pole floating by as we were anchoring in the Waccama near butler island. We made it to southport Saturday and saw lots of debris floating down the cape fear. i was glad to be in the slip at deep point trouble free. guess luck was riding with us.

Pate, you are going the wrong way. Robert left a week ago and is in Florida already.

Nah, Im tired of the sand. I'm going snow skiing. HAAAA.....Just kidding, I'm working in Southport at the Nuclear plant. The 1st of May we plan on heading up north town hopping and exploring. There's no grass growing under our hull. Keep it moving and having a good time. Sometimes we need to stop to work though.

I took a boat I was looking at there for a hull survey. People were great, and the price to haul was amazingly low.
No doubt if your in that area, that is a good place to go.
