As it is time to start the projects going again, I thought I would pass along a vendor I had allot of success with last year for marine grade (tinned) wire - http://genuinedealz.com . They also have great prices on wire terminals (heat shrink type), large awg closed barrel lugs , and marine grade heat shrink wrap. Most of the time, the brand was Ancor, other times it was still brand name, clearly labeled marine grade, and definitely tinned. These guys are less than half the cost of West Marine and found them to ship same day in most cases (and they don’t rape you with shipping cost).
Was thinking of putting an inverter on my 43 DC and wouldn’t you know a thread was already started about it the other day with all the things I was wondering. Since I saw others with 43 DC’s expressing interest in same project I thought I would pass this info along as it will probably save you $500 on your wire cost. Got one more trip planned around NYC this Sunday, then out with the carpets and up with the floor boards – it’s time to get dirty again!
