Anyone have any Onan parts around? I am looking for an exhaust elbow off of a 7.5 kw Onan Gen. MDJE type. This is the elbow that that connects to the raw water right after the exhaust manafold. Condition is important, as this is on the raw water side.

Mine looks like it split from freezing :(

I have one from a MDJF, the ex hose size is 2". I believe the MDJE is 1 5/8. If you can use the 2" elbow let me know.

captddis,
Inlet and outlet are 2" i assume. What size is the raw water intake hose and what is condition like? Can you get me pics of it if needed?

How much did you want for it?

I will check into the size to see if it makes a difference.

Have you checked with an Onan dealer? I bought the exhaust elbow, and pipe nipplie between the elbow and the manifold a couple of years ago. Got them from a local Onan parts source.

Mine was also split. I thought it might be from lack of cooling water.

I noticed last week mine too was split (MDJE) but not leaking.....yet. What do you guys think about a liberal smattering of JB Weld on the affected area? Looks like I would have to go about 2/3's way around to cover everything. Just wondering if too much thermal expansion being an exhaust joint for JB Weld. If not JB Weld, anybody recommended another epoxy type filler or repair method (short of removing and replacing) for the job?
