  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' YACHT FISHERMAN (1970 - 1981)
Anyone going to be there?
I plan on attending 3/18 all day
Sams will have a booth

Saturday morning is the agenda. If anyone sees some Coastal Marine FX1 or Cruise Air SMX II controllers (need 5) for a full retro fit- give me a PM. Anything I should keep my eyes open for others?

Wish I were still in town for it!

was there all day thurs., would say equal to last year. Deal of the day was at Sam's, got all new control cables for my 46- 10.00 each. They also had lots of stainless hardware and fittings, etc.. Wish I was going back for second day, number of things I saw which I did not move on

was also a little cool thurs., all the beer vendors had sweatshirts on

THANK YOU DOUG!!!!

Yaisy and I cruised around the flea market with our Hi/Low table in tow. When we arrived at the Sams Booth, Doug told Yaisy to unload the table and display it there at his booth. A few minutes later, IT WAS SOLD!

The flea market is good this year and most vendors are willing to deal. there are many good items at good prices, I bought a KVH Tracvision4 for $400 and a 16,000Btu /115v aircon for $200, a galley maid 32v FW pump for $80.

This was my first visit to the flea market - definitely going to be an annual thing. Picked up some foot pedestals for $50 each (which will work great until I get my new teak ladder backs w/ matching teak foot rests one of these years). I was checking out a lot of the life rafts and epirbs. Most of the epirbs looked like the old generation. Anyone know if those would still work / be of benefit? Also - the life rafts - I'm assuming I would want a recert once I pulled the trigger. Any feedback from past flea market attendees on something like this? Didn't seam to find the guy hawking his used sail track cars for the bumpers... need 5 of those if anyone has another source (besides retail)!

The KVH find sounds great! Definitely a place I can get into trouble!

Did the Dania thing, I have never seen so many outboard parts in one spot before. For the larger boat owners, I found it very disappointing. It's most likely our first and last trip.

Give it another try. We have found a plethora of stuff for our boat there. You really have to go deep and take your time. Examples: Marquipt parts, 40w Cf2 oil, various alternators (kicking myself for hesitating), portlight screens, miscellaneous Hatteras hardware, Galley Maid parts, Ultra Pumpswitches, 32v bilge pumps, big fenders and so on, including a new bow cushion for our Whaler at 1/8th of retail. Make up a list of need to have and nice to have spares and enhancements, go the first day and just buy them, especially the "need to haves". Then go the last day and make deals with people who don't want to cart and pack the stuff out.
