There was a time when you put Copper Paint on the bottom of your boat, and it was Red. I do not recall it coming in any other colors and real men did not call in an Anti-Fouling Coating.
Copper paint then was also soft, built up and had to be sanded off. I use a modern self-polishing paint that holds up well for about 3 years, but it is still RED. That just looks Right to me.
