Does anyone have experience in using Captain Tolleys crack filler?

I tried it on my pilothouse windows just until I could fix them right. Didn't work at all.

Great stuff. I have used it both on wooden window frames as well as the aluminum frames on the Hatteras. Unless there are serious issues, you should get a couple of years from a treatment. Another application and you are good to go. It has kept my windshield tight for the last 9 years. Friends have also had good success with it. It might not work on very large leaks.

I've used it in the past with similar results as the previous post. Be sure you have someone below and inside the area to be sealed. Sometimes the sealant will flow all the way through and drip. If drys on an interior surface it's very hard to remove.

My intention is to try on spider cracks in the paint.

I tried it on spider cracks. My boat is painted white. The Tolly's dried much darker, not clear.
Could not remove the discoloration.

This is not intended to seal spider cracks. The only long term solution is grind them out, add glass, fair and then paint or gel coat.

To the other post, you should be able to remove the Capt Tolleys by soaking it out with acetone. Apply to a rag, lay on the rag and cover it with saran to retard drying, then brush it up with an old tooth brush.
