I recently purchased a spray bottle of Rain-X and did all the windows on boat Friday. Usually I get the little plastic bottle you squeeze out like lighter fluid onto rag. It was hot, sunny, and very windy on Friday when I applied Rain-X coming out of spray bottle. It was blowing back in my face in certain instances and kind of stung, but nothing too ridiculous. Turns out it's an eye irritant and I had an allergic reaction to it about 24 hours later. The bags under my eyes blew ups something fierce as did my nose – I looked like Rock Balboa after his first fight with Apollo Creed. I also had a rash on and around my fingers. My face felt like a pie crust and was very red, not just from sunburn but as reaction to chemicals. I’m on steroids and Benadryl now and almost back to normal. Beware Rain-X in spray bottle – Do Not let it get in your eyes or on your skin, which is very easy to have happen if any kind of breeze.
