Battery Time

It's that dreaded time to replace my 4 house batteries. I shouldn't complain, I got 9 years out of them. The "but" is, replacements are limited. I've got Deka's in there, 24" inches long. The battery places are not stocking 8hhg-25's but do stock 8HHG-21's.. 6-8 week lead on the 25's, anybody have any experience with the smaller Rolls 8HHG-21's?

Thanks Ron. Their Dyna battery is a US Battery rebrand. Got the same issue with them. The X15 is basically what I have now.. 2-3 week lead time on those. The X13 is in stock and only 25 CCA smaller in crank capacity. But the house side?. I dont have an inverter and usually run the generator... $600 dollar price difference for the 4 big Rolls.. IDK

8 volt golf cart batteries are what I went with after some research. Used DC battery in Miami for drop ship, and had the cables replaced for the Trojan T875. https://www.trojanbattery.com/product/t-875/ If you run the gen as mentioned, it may be fine.
We are on season 3 with no issues. Rigged up a flowrite watering system too. Really helpful.

Changed out an old Gest battery switch while in the ER. They make 2 kinds of the old style.. the failed kind and the kind that will soon fail.

If you are on the east coast call Pascoe in Maryland, I got 4 Rolls 8HHG-21’s last summer for $400 which I thought was a good price.

They are currently advertising the 21's for $380+ a $40 dollar core charge. I'll will check with my local Rolls dealer, but not being on the Coast, I don't expect good news there. May have to plan a road trip for some Maryland Crab Cakes!
