58 YachtFisher Aft Salon Dining Table

Hey Everyone,

I just bought a 1979 Hatteras 58 YachtFisher, and I am looking to replace the Aft Salon Dining Table.

I love entraining people and eating with a lot of people on our boats. The Aft Salon Dining table that came with the boat only seats about 4 people and I am looking for a table that seats around 8-10. I know there are tons of table out in the world and could always build a custom one for my exact needs but I thought I would come here first to see what others have done.

If anyone has a Dining Table in the Aft Salon of their 58 YachtFisher that seats around 8-10 people, please share any pictures or specs you have.

I would love something like the 1979 Hatteras 58 YachtFisher "Gus" has. Picture is attached.

I’ve had 10 for dinner on mine, but it is tight. Eight is no problem.

Ha! I forgot to answer the question! We have two hi low tables, one in the salon and one in the aft porch. When we have people for dinner we bring out the salon hi low and put the two together. It works well, rather than have one big table out there all the time.

O use a folding table, it resides between the couch and the aft deck wall when not in use. 8 is no problem 10 is cozy.

I think a full time table of this size would not work.

That's not his table. That is on the 58 YF called "Gus".

I've made a few nice cockpit and galley tables over the years. The top part was always pretty easy to make (had a source for rare cuts of wood) or to find somewhere. Spending up for a really nice pedestal is what always seemed to make the diffence.

In that pic posted, the cool pedestal is what jumps out. I believe its manufactured by this firm, but don't know where to buy: https://www.besenzoni.com/products/table-bases

Some of those Italian firms have amazing hardware.
