58 LRC exterior wall construction

Hello everyone,I am in the process of rebuilding the half of my aft salon wall that was removed years ago. I have found that there is a 2” x 4” stud in the part of the wall that is left in place but I am not sure what type of wood it is. Does anyone know what type of wood Hatteras used for the framing structure?Thanks for the help, Alex Sherard

Now don't forget that the quality and growth time of current lumber stocks is far inferior to even the 1970-80s. The closest you'll get today is vertical grain fir. Hatteras also coated the wood with a antibug preservative which may have changed by the time your lrc was built but earlier was chlorapentaphenol, known as penta, long since banned. If the wood has a green tint its penta, dont breath the dust.
