Just how long should the compressor for the air horns run before it stops? I have let it run for 3-4 minutes and it doesn't sound like it changes with pressure.

It has been raining most of the day so I can't get up top to check it out without getting soaked.

Thanks,

Blaine

Is there a pressure switch malfunction

Mine will run about 10 to15 sec after i blow the horn for a long time. Short burst it will not come on usually....When i purchased the boat there was no compressor at all all the lines were riprd out. After replacing the lines and installing a new compressor it took about two weekends to get all the air leaks stoped. Best of luck!!!

I was thinking a leak. It seems like it's not building pressure. If it does, it doesn't hold it long enough to try the horns. If it ever stops raining here, I should be able to figure it out.

I have to head back home Monday morning.

I had a similar problem. Bad pressure switch.

Finally got to crawl under the helm yesterday. It was a leak at one of the push-in tube connections.

Thinking about replacing those with compression fittings.
