what type of inverter, pure sine or is modified wave good enough

ok so which should i put onboard, a pure sine wave or is modified ok? no super fancy electronic stuff , just the everyday norm stuff, laptop, LCD tv...etc

I've been using inverters for the last 10 years, all of which have been MSW, untill I finally paid the long money for a PSW. My laptop doesn't care, but the TV, stereo, microwave and the frige all much happier. MSW inverters have a reputation for being hard on electric motors (frige) and certain electronics.
