how did you attach the upper bunks? I am looking to do the same

Basically the same as the existing stbd upper. The teak 1.5x1.5 bottom support rail was screwed and glued (anchor locker & guest head wall), then a piece of fir was 5200 to the hull and glassed in place. The 3/4 plywood bunk was screwed and glued to the teak rail and 5200 to the hull. The final was to glass tab the top and bottom edge to the hull and attach the teak rail.
