This is a starboard shot. Note the horizontal hinge near the top of the panel as well as the angled hinge at the lower forward side. This angled hinge allows me to reach inside and unlock the gate.

i have a 43' DC and am redoing the canvas as we speak. i have a loop bungie that fastens the canvas to the bottom of the rail. not a real good system, a pain to fasten the bungie. how did you fasten the canvas to the rail. it looks well done.
