Re: City Docks Wilmington, NC
Wilmington has a long history of welcoming transients and visitors to it's public docks. Unfortunately, in the event of an oncoming named storm the town is quick to shut down and turn away any and all boaters seeking shelter. Something to do with the fear of damage to their fragile docks - which never occurred in past. I'm referring to the hurricane years from '96 to '02 when I sought refuge at this dock ( kept my 40 DCMY at Carolina Beach).
