Reminds me of some channels I've been thru in Maine....one such is between Boothbay Habor and the Sheepscot River...."Townsend Gut"..
pretty spooky, but in one small area was enough shoal broadening to anchor for the night....Another narrow passage is further up the Sheepscot River...."Cross River" which is about 30 feet deep and about as wide with granite right alongside....leads to a GREAT secluded anchorage..
